Squeeze pages are one of the most frequently used tools by online marketers, and for good reason … they work!

What Are Squeeze Pages?

Plain and simple, they are lead capture tools … short forms that allow web site owners to collect a potential customer’s email address, and then funnel them into a sales process of one form or another. Sometimes they are a separate web page with a whole spiel about some product or service being offered, with a small form somewhere on the page to “optin” for more information or some other free offer. Sometimes squeeze pages are just simple pop-up windows that entice us to sign up to a newsletter, or to get a free report.

Squeeze pages serve two functions:

1. They collect the email of a potential new customer

2. Then they direct that potential customer through some kind of pre-selling process.

Collecting emails ain’t always easy nowadays. We’re all spam weary now, so if you expect someone to give their email to you, then you’ve got to make it worth while for them. A tried and true method is giving away something for free: – a free newsletter subscription or report – a free product trial – access to a special event, like a live webinar – etc …

What To Do Next?

Getting that coveted email address is step one. Step two, the most important step, involves what you do with it. The next step after collecting that lead is to either:

1. Forward them directly to a page with an offer (called a “One Time Offer”)

2. Channel them through a series of auto responder emails to presell then on your product or service

3. or Both!

( I’ll give more insight into the automatic responders in another article in this series …)

You’ve got that email address! Congratulations! If you do attempt to pitch them with a One Time Offer right away, it’s always best not to be too pushy. You don’t want to drive them to unsubscribe before you’ve even had a chance to take them through your well-crafted pre-selling process.

Remember, the most important thing is that you are building a list of qualified potential customers. Collecting names is the easy part though. The next step, the pre-selling series of automatic emails that you send out to them is the thing that will make or break you. Unfortunately, this is where so many people, even highly experienced internet marketer, come up short and fail.

In my next article, I’ll go through some important tips for successful email list management …

Let’s take a look at a few ways you can use this to put your Internet marketing advertising into overdrive. See why this technique is like an enhancer on your marketing advertising.

Search engines love blogs because of the fresh content they bring to the World Wide Web. Search engines are constantly looking for new content to provide for their searchers. Once you get a search engine coming to your blog the potential traffic from ranking a blog article high on a search engine is unbelievable. Pay-per-click advertising is rapidly becoming the most effective marketing strategy dominated by online marketing experts. When a beginner tries to run a Pay Per Click Campaign by themselves, competing against experienced Pay Per Click Specialist, their budget is quickly burnt with no results to show for it. Here are the following 9 mistakes most PPC beginners make.

1. Not using variety of keywords – Build a keyword list containing all possible keyword phrases of somebody who would or has intention of buying your service. Most PPC beginners use upto 30 keywords only, where most small campaigns should be upto 1,000 keyword phrases to maximize coverage of all keyword varieties.

2. Not using Match type – Proper usage of match types will increase your positioning and decrease your average cost-per-click (CPC).

3. Not creating different adgroups – Don’t place all your keywords in one ad group unless they are all closely related. Your ad group should be tightly targeted with your ad.

4. Not effective adtext – Use the right keywords in your ad. writing effective text ads, will increase your click-through-rate (CTR), improve your quality score and, eventually, decrease your average CPC.

5. Not split-testing text ads – split testing text ads is the only way to determine one text ad is better than other, tracking and identifying which combination of words produced the best results.

The basis of a successful advertisement is to understand the consumer’s needs and then design the advertisement accordingly. Just stating the advantages of using the product or service of the company isn’t enough. Sentence should be so designed that the customer should see his advantage in the product. For example, when advertising for a digital camera, just stating that the in-built memory of the camera is of 1 GB, won’t do the trick. Instead, the sentence should be changed to ‘enough memory to store 350 pictures or 50 videos’. The solution to the problem of the customer is reflected in this sentence. Ideas can be taken from advertisements of other similar brands like how the sentences are written and placed in an advertisement. After the sentence framing, adding power words to spice up the advertisement will definitely make a winning ad campaign. Step into the shoes of the customer and try to note down the points which will be of benefit and what points will decrease the interest. The advantages then should be referred to the customer by addressing them with ‘you’. The customer feels that he is being directly talked to.
